Localization Project Manager for Spanish at Belkin

What you’ll do

The Localization Project Manager is responsible for delivering accurate translations of all company material requested into Spanish, adapting it where necessary to make it fit for the local market. He or she works together with Product Management, Graphic Design and Marketing Communications to ensure translations into his/her native language are both consistent and in line with company branding.

He/she is also responsible for managing projects that involve both in-house and external translations in up to 30 languages ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget and to the right quality standards. The Spanish Translator and Localization Project Manager will play an active role in process improvement and efficient management of the localization budget, finding ways to reduce costs and improve processes while continuing to deliver high quality work.

Principal Internationalization Engineer – Cloud, Yahoo

This position is responsible for defining and driving the internationalization of products and services developed by our engineering teams worldwide to strengthen Yahoo!’s offerings and its’ international business.

We are a fast moving, innovative, dynamic and passionate team of international experts that is organizationally newly formed and we are looking at making a huge difference for our international customers (consumers, advertisers, developers), partners and for Yahoo!

As a member of our team, you will be encouraged to work independently with the engineering teams for your areas. Yet, you will be required to be part of a strong team of globalization architects & other localization experts, defining what it takes to enable & build the required blocks for all our products and services to scale for Yahoo!’s short-term and long-term offerings and growth. Primary responsibilities include globalization ownership of Yahoo Cloud Computing Platform, and upcoming future features, closely working with the Engineering team as well as the Program Management team to design and deliver products and services that fulfill the local needs of our international customers. While the products will be centrally developed they should fulfill all the local needs of our international markets.

  • Define, evangelize, and roll out globalization best practices (including relevant architecture design principles, implementation techniques, test strategies and scenarios, development processes and critical internationalization and localization milestones, localization tools and data structures, conformance to internationalization standards, etc…)
  • Develop and deliver formal technical training to the development organizations as needed.
  • Recognize requirements that span multiple products & services and help design, build, and roll out of common libraries, tools, or other solutions that will improve the overall efficiency of Yahoo!’s global development.
  • Communicate with international offices as needed to solicit international needs to succeed locally.

As a senior UI developer in our Procurement Applications team, you will be defining best practices for international user experiences and implementing multicultural user interfaces.

Senior Technical Project Manager

As a senior technical project manager you will be responsible for on-time delivery to global markets of software built by geographically distributed teams and supporting integration with international partners.

Responsibilities:

Define and manage project objectives with core program leaders.

Align projects to program objectives and business needs.

Able to manage and guide multiple teams through project lifecycle and proactively manage project conflicts.

Be able to prioritize projects to meet major milestones.

Pro-actively identify gaps in project or resource plans or program objectives and facilitate resolutions with departmental managers.

Be an active contributor to process improvements.

Have excellent persuasive communications skills and be capable of motivating team leads.

Knowledge and/or experience of Localization processes and have understanding of requirements for multiple language releases.

Understanding of QA environments and processes.
